Preserving re-sale value

What are some of the best things you can do to preserve re-sale value on your vehicles? Keeping them serviced of course, but I would think keeping up with excellent detailing would count for a lot.

Servicing the vehicle, and keeping in all around good shape. Keep the paint shiny, the interior cleaned, no rips in the seat, etc...

Continuous servicing and detailing certainly works. The third way is obvious, but we must mention it anyway -- keep your car free from dents and major damages in its structure.

Lastly, when you are at the point of selling your car, make it look clean and impeccable. You can't quote a good price for a dirty car.

Keeping your car always in good condition (both its performance and appearance) will help much. It makes your potential buyer think that the car is always well taken care.

Keeping a record of all sheduled maintenance performed and presenting it to the potential buyer really helps make the sale as well. A super clean interior also speaks volumes.
