Sales are down; repairs are up

More people are keeping their old cars and getting them repaired, due to the high cost of replacing them and the dip in the economy. I know I am keeping my older vehicles and fixing them instead of trying to trade them in. How about you?

Newest one we have is a 99...oldest is an 84...so we're definitely repairing.
Anyway, more repairs mean more sales for the auto parts stores!

I am not surprised in this trend, especially with the economy going down the crapper these past few years. I just purchased my vehicle last November and plan to drive it until it's dead. I planned to do that with my last truck (03 Silverado), but sadly it was totaled last Winter. So with that said I plan to keep this truck as long as possible.
