Does the bug-busting stuff work as well as the advertisers claim?

I haven't had to really worry about that up until this past week, it's been really wet up in this corner of the country. A hot day, though, and bug splatters from a drive down the highway were glued in place that I had to clean the windshield by hand when I got home.

I just use the cheap stuff. I'd be interested in knowing if something did work better to remove splattered bugs. Those things fry up in no time.

I'm sure my neighbors thought I was nuts , using the blunt side of a butter knife and a metal spatula to clean my windshield.

As long as I'm able to scrub those boogers off with a scrubby pad, I'll continue doing it that way. I'm not one that likes to waste a lot of money buying the "new and improved" product when a bit of elbow grease does the job.
