My mom said she wants me to get my own insurance before I get my license. How much will it cost me for my own car insurance?

Someone in the burnout thread said something about "doing donuts". What does that mean? Snow was mentioned, too, and I don't live where we get snow.

I know I don't (quite) have my license yet, but I don't want to have to wait around for my parents to let me use a car, so I want my own car. I really want a Jeep Wrangler, but I don't think I will be able to get that much money.

They had one of those checking places set up on the road down from my house, so I asked my mom if we could go and let me drive just so I could have the experience - she let me go through it on the way out of the neighborhood and on the way back, too. It was fun!

Just turned 16 and now I have my learner's license and I can't wait to learn to drive!! This is so awesome! Woot!! Now if I can just get my mom to go with me so I can practice!!
